Under My risk management choose the chemical you wish to substitute, click on the three dots to the right and select Create Risk Management.

Select Frequency of use and Exposure level and click Next.

Here you can choose to eliminate the chemical.

If you do and click Yes, the process will stop here. Write a comment and click Finish. If the chemical can not be eliminated, click on No, Continue to substitution, leave a comment below and click on Next step.

Select Start substitution.

Here you can choose between chemicals from predefined substitution groups, created on company level. (To find out how to create a substitution group, click here.)
From the drop-down menu select the desired substitution group and click Compare.

On the next step you can compare the products in the substitution group.
The categories Frequency of use and Exposure level are the same for all the products. You can change them if you wish to. For example in cases where a product is applied twice with a spray gun whereas another is applied only once with a paint roller.
Decide on whether you want to substitute the product with one or more from the alternative chemicals or continue using the original product.

Select the desired alternative chemical.
At the bottom of the page is the comment for the substitution group.
You can copy it if you want it to be visible in the risk management in the end. Click Copy text on the right and paste in in the Comment field.
Click Done when finished.

The chemical is now substituted by an alternative chemical from the group and the status in the overview is Substituted.

Click on the three dots to the right to view or edit the risk management.

In the detailed view of the risk management you can see the Substitution audit trail and Activity history.

You can export the risk management in pdf format.

Click on the three dots in the top-right corner and choose Print.
